Die Überschreitung von Hochstaufen und Zwiesel ist sicher einer der schönsten aber auch anspruchsvollsten Touren in den Chiemgauer Alpen.
Von der Padinger Alm aus gestartet führte uns der Weg über die Steinernen Jäger zunächst hinauf bis zum Hochstaufen. Nach kurzer Pause ging es dann schon weiter in Richtung Mittelstaufen und Zwiesel. Dem Bergrücken folgend wechseln sich Kraxelstellen und schmale Bergwege ständig ab bevor dann nach einem Schotterkar der direkte Aufstieg zum Zwiesel beginnt.
