Vom Parkplatz Hammerstiel (770m) auf der Forststraße (Schild „Kühroint“) in südwestlicher, später in südöstlicher Richtung bis zur Schapbach Diensthütte. Auf der Straße nach links und an der Schapbachalm vorbei bis zu einer auffallenden Linkskurve (namens Benzinkurve) auf etwa 1200m.
