Vom Parkplatz ein paar hundert Meter nur schwach steigend nach Süden Richtung Mordau bzw. Ramsau (= Weg Nr. 13/14). Nach einer Brücke steht links eine Hütte. Hier verlässt man den Weg und steigt rechts – südöstlich - durch den Wald über einen breiten Rücken auf. Dieser wird in der ÖK und AV-Karte als „Saurüssel“ bezeichnet und über diesen verläuft auch die Forststraße (Weg Nr. 479a).
