I admit that when I first received the Brooks Caldera 6, I didn't think it would be the trail running shoe for me, but after putting close to 50 miles in the shoes I can definitely say that my mind has been changed! If you've watched my reviews, you know that I'm a fan of high-cushion shoes, but some of the trail running shoes I was most excited to run in this year have delivered on cushion but left me feeling a little unstable. The Brooks Caldera 6 is the exception with a cushioned but responsive DNA LOFT v3 midsole that wraps up the side of the upper, cradling your foot for a stable ride. Pair that with an extra-wide outsole, and the Caldera 6 inspires confidence on pretty much all the terrain I've thrown at it. If you're looking for a confidence-inspiring, ultra-distance shoe, the Brooks Caldera 6 is at the top of my list of recommendations!
