Opis:
Im frühen Mittelalter gehörte das Iseltal zur Grafschaft Lurn. Später, etwa um 1100, konnten sich die Grafen von Lechsgemünd hier festsetzen. Erstmals 1252 wird von einem „castrum Virge“ gesprochen, das den Grafen von Tirol gehörte. Es dürfte um 1200 errichtet worden sein.
