Opis:
Bellissima salita al rifugio più alto d'Europa posto sulla punta Gnifetti a 4554m sul massiccio del monte Rosa.
Partenza dal paesino di Alagna Valsesia (1200m), con 3 funivie si arriva a punta Indren (3200m circa). Da li parte il sentiero per arrivare al rifugio Gnifetti (3647m) dove abbiamo pernottato. Il giorno seguente partendo dal rifugio stesso, si costeggia il ghiacciaio del Lys (sulla dx c'è la Piramide Vincent), fino ad arrivare al colle del Lys (4200m circa). Vista spettacolare a 360° su tutti i 4000 nelle vicinanze (Lyskamm, Dufour, punta Gnifetti, Parrot, Balmenhorn), per poi salire l'ultimo tratto fino alla Capanna Margherita (4554m).
