Vedno, ko se peljem iz Prelaza Predel proti Bovcu me prevzame mogočnost trdnjave Kluže, še bolj kot sama trdnjava pa je neverjetna narava v tem delu doline Koritnice. Najožji del mogočnih korit Koritnice se imenuje tudi Bovška vrata. Ta del poti je izjemno pomembna strateška točka že od nekdaj.
