Verona ist eine Stadt im Veneto in Norditalien. Sie hat gut 250.000 Einwohner und ist Hauptstadt der Provinz Verona. Verona liegt an der Etsch etwa 59 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel am Austritt der Brenner-Linie in die Poebene. Seit 2000 gehört die Altstadt von Verona zum Weltkulturerbe.
