Fabian Buhl, known for his all-around climbing skills, started as a boulderer before making a name in alpine and big-wall climbing. After a ski accident in 2024, he set his sights on a more technical challenge—Histoire Sans Fin, an 8b+ granite multi-pitch on Switzerland’s Petit Clocher du Portalet. The sharp rock quickly ate through the rubber on his La Sportiva Miura shoes, and it soon became clear he’d need some extra help in that department to complete the climb.
