Das Weissmies gehört zu den 'leichteren' Viertausender in der Umgebung von Saas Almagell. Bei sehr guten und trockenen Verhältnissen kann dieser Berg von der Südseite (via Almagellerhütte) auch als Trailrun angegangen werden. (Mit entsprechender Erfahrung, Kondition und Ausrüstung versteht sich). Am 1.August 2020 war das Ziel, diesen Gipfel unter 4h ganz vom Tal unten (Saas Almagell) zu erreichen.
