Im Juni 2020 ging es an den ca 6 km langen Schaalseekanal, der den Schaalsee mit dem Ratzeburger See verbindet und somit dem Schaalsee zu einem See macht, der über seine Nebenseen zugleich in die Nordsee, als auch in die Ostsee entwässert.
