In this video Cam Kellar sends his first outdoor 5.12a. Located the Roof Rocks area of Coopers Rock State Park the mega classic Upchouca is the hardest route at the crag. This route has been a long-standing project for Kellar, who has tried this route many times over the past couple years. The climb itself kicks off with a tricky start that moves immediately into the crux of sloping pockets and a mono. After securing the mono and making a big reach to a ledge, the climbing eases up into a sustained 5.10. This route is worth the effort! Kellar was belayed by fellow Almost Heaven Climbing Co. member Jay Merrifield, and the drone operator was Stuart Gillium.
