In this video I discover Wood Ear mushroom on a winter walk. Many species of edible and not mushrooms can be observed in winter. Here I share some of these species I observed on a winter walk in the Appalachian Mountains. I focus on the Wood Ear mushroom, describe its different names, examine its scientific name orgins, history, food-use especially in china and a discussion of structure of fungi, fruiting bodies, spores and hyphae.
